Recently, in the customer service group, some customers reported that they were unable to find their OE numbers.

During the process of assisting customers in solving problems, our service personnel identified several issues related to usage. Let's explain these together.

When an OE number cannot be found, the most common reason may be a spelling error in the characters.

For example, the letter O and the number 0 are confused, and the 0 (number zero) in the code may be mistakenly read as the letter O.

For instance, the letter Z is confused with the number 2, and the letter i is confused with the number 1.

Some OE numbers are identified from images, and it's inevitable for some recognition software to make mistakes. Therefore, when the OE number cannot be found, you can check if there are any character errors in the OE number itself.

Then, the OEM codes of common automobile or machinery models usually have specific lengths and segmentation rules. It is recommended that you recheck the original label to see if there are any extra or missing characters, and confirm whether there are spaces, hyphens (-), or other characters that have not been read correctly in the long string on the anti-counterfeiting label or steel seal.

Some OE numbers may come with additional prefixes and suffixes. OEM wholesalers or foreign trade factories will append their own internal codes (such as specific year, batch, or warehouse shelf number) before and after the standard OEM number. For example, 8831068031S, where the actual OEM number is 8831068031, and the S at the end represents a shelf number.

If it's not found in our internal query system, then it's not found across the entire network either.

Therefore, it can be confirmed that different vehicle series or industrial brands, whose accessories belong to different brands and models, have their unique coding rules.

You can try providing the product name, the car brand (such as Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW, Honda, General Motors, etc.) or construction machinery to which the accessory belongs, or the specific name or function of the accessory (such as sensor, control module, filter, body trim, etc.). Besides this long code, does the surface of some parts also bear the brand's logo, graphic steel stamp, or other shorter subcodes?

Perhaps you could provide us with a photo of the accessory's appearance, the vehicle's VIN code (frame number), or more specific brand background information, so that our system can conduct a deeper cross-matching. Perhaps the OE number can be retrieved then.

In summary, if the OE number cannot be found, it may not necessarily be a system issue; it could also be due to a problem with the OEM itself.
